New Fishin' Rig!!
Picked up a new fishin' rig this morning to facilitate the Suburban Angler Southeastern Flyfishing Tour 2018!!! If anybody's interested in sponsoring the tour, I wouldn't mind the help paying for it!!

Smelling the Campfire
There's something uplifting about putting your favorite hat on in the middle of the week and smelling the campfire and recalling the adventures from the past weekend.

Sportsman Bumper Mini
Parked in the jungle to launch the kayak. Using a Sportsman Bumper Mini to keep the rods from sliding and scratching the truck!

Spanish Fort Bass Pro Shop
Got to check out the Spanish Fort Bass Pro Shop outside Mobile Alabama on our drive to Mississippi. A cool, new design Bass Pro with a General Store, Islamorada Fish Co. restaurant and White River Fly Shop! After working in the Atlanta store for so long, I really enjoy visiting other Bass Pro stores when traveling and comparing the differences. Bikers have Harley dealerships, outdoorsmen have Bass Pro Shops!

Got the Hook
Do you suppose he was trying to eat the whole fly? Or was he just trying to pick a piece off, but happened to get the hook?

Bluegill fishing on a footbridge on the Florida Trail with the Gulf of Mexico in front of me, Pensacola Bay behind me and historic Fort Pickens to my right. Now that's a beautiful bluegill spot!

We made it over to Mississippi
We made it over to Mississippi this morning and found a gorgeous creek to fish!! I was warned against launching the kayak due to a VERY large alligator that frequents the area along with several recently confirmed crocodile sightings. There was an alligator and exotics farm nearby that had been compromised during hurricane Irene!! The fish weren't in a biting mood anyway, so we'll just have to go back!
