Coastal Art and Craft Beer Festival
We attended the Coastal Art and Craft Beer Festival at Outriggers Tiki Bar and Grille in New Smyrna Beach last night. We sampled some great craft brews (lots of Porters and Stouts for me!!) and admired lots of fishy artwork. I was drawn more to the variety of fishing boats moored up in the marina!!!

Learning a new Casting Technique
Spent some time with the Mid-Coast Fly Fishers this morning learning a tension casting technique that should improve my saltwater game. Coming from small stream UL Flyfishing, I need all the help I can get for these salty fish!!

"Do you have an old rod you'd sell?"
"Do you have an old rod you'd sell?" Seems like I've been asked that a lot lately. I hate to have to say no. I love to help new folks get started in flyfishing, but, for me, selling one of my rods would be like selling my 5/8" box-end wrench or my skinning knife. They are tools I use and I like to always have the right size for the job, even if I don't use all of them all the time. I try to advise them on making a smart purchase on a new flyrod and offer to help them figure out the cast, but what would you do? Have you ever gotten this question?

"How do you guys transport your kayaks?"
@t0tallydan posed the question this morning "How do you guys transport your kayaks?". This is how I do it, and it works very well!! It helps to be able to hold the kayak over your head for a few minutes to load up!!
