UNI-Products Big Fly Thread

I'm really liking this UNI-Products Big Fly thread for my saltwater flies! I can lay down a thread base faster, build up a sturdier bump for eyes and crank down tighter on materials without fear of breaking my thread. I need to get a few more colors (and upgrade my bobbin)! Have you used it? Any pros or cons you've found?

MCFF Tying Meeting - January 2020

Tonight's MCFF Tying Meeting featured a Zonker Minnow demonstrated by Phil Ewaniciki. Phil explained the basic techniques required to tie this simple fly, then went on to describe a few of the many variations possible with different tail materials and different cuts of the rabbit strips. It was a fun tie tonight and I'll be adding a few more of these (and some variants) to my flyboxes!

Stickers and Buttons

I had to replenish my stickers and buttons before I head to Atlanta for The Fly Fishing Show at the end of this month. I got an email deal from StickerMule for the smaller size sticker, so figured we'd give them a try. They even sent along a bottle of their Mule Sauce and I can't wait to try it!!! Anybody want The Suburban Angler beer coasters? They could be in my next order!

Florida RV Super Show 2020

We're heading to the other side of the state this weekend to check out one of the largest RV shows in the US! I might post a few times from the show if I see anything remotely flyfishing related, but I'll try to keep the strictly RV and travel trailer posts over on @the_anglers_workshop IG account.
