My first attempt at an Elk Hair Caddis.

My first attempt at an Elk Hair Caddis. I think it went pretty well, right up until the hook slipped out of the vise and the thread broke at the same time, while I was trying to tie in the Elk Hair!! Let's hope attempt no. 2 goes a little better!!

The fish that launched a blog!

The fish that launched a blog! For "Throwback Thursday" today I found the picture of the first fish I caught after deciding to start The Suburban Angler. Seems like a lifetime ago, but it was only 3 short years ago this month. Thanks everyone for following along and to all the new friends that I've made.
