Here's to a relaxing Friday night!

Here's to a relaxing Friday night! Vintage Flyfishing book, vintage Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipe, vintage Zippo, a good beer and, if you look through the leaves, a slight view of Lake Lanier. Prost!!

The fish that launched a blog!

The fish that launched a blog! For "Throwback Thursday" today I found the picture of the first fish I caught after deciding to start The Suburban Angler. Seems like a lifetime ago, but it was only 3 short years ago this month. Thanks everyone for following along and to all the new friends that I've made. We're working on a few bumps in the road now, but it'll be back to regular posts as soon as possible. Stop by for a visit anytime, links in the profile. Thanks!!

Private Pond Bluegill

I was invited to fish a small, private pond tonight and to say it was a successful trip is an understatement!! This big 'gill was easily over a pound and I honestly felt a bit under gunned fishing the 5' TFO Half Weight!! It horsed him in like a champ though, along with a few more and a bunch of small largemouths! Talk about a fantastic evening!!
