You're never the only fisherman on the water. Fishing gives us some tremendous wildlife viewing opportunities if you can remember to stop and look around once in a while.
The mangroves are pretty striking when you get underneath them. I'm thinking these are the saltwater equivalent to the rhododendron in the mountains. You're drawn to cast under them, but they both like to eat flies! .
Reaching back into the archives once again (we really need to go fishing!), fondly remembering wet wading Frogtown Creek and getting ice built up in the guides!!
