Sheepshead on the Fly
I'm hoping to catch a sheepshead on the fly soon. I think a brown-er crab might do better, matching the hatch, so to speak.

What a fantastic caster!
The universe seems to be against me fly fishing the salt. We didn't get out as early as hoped, there was a bait fisherman at the end of the dock where I was planning to go and once I started casting to the mouth of the canal the thunderstorms started moving in. Oh well, better luck next time. At least I got to cast my sweet, new Walter's Fly Rods Cinder Creek. What a fantastic caster! Almost makes me look like I know what I'm doing!!

Walters Flyrods Cinder Creek
I've really been itching to make some casts with my new Walters Flyrods Cinder Creek. And, while I don't think I'll really need a 9' 8-weight rod for the office pond, it sure was fun ripping that Clouser Minnow out to the middle! I'm really looking forward to getting this rod salty!!

Walters Cinder Creek 8 weight
I want to thank everyone for their input and advice when I asked for salt water fly rod recommendations!! I decided to go with a local (here in Atlanta) brand and got myself a Walters Fly Rods Cinder Creek 9' 8 weight. I'll try to get a First Cast video up on the website and YouTube sometime next week. It's a great looking rod and I'm really looking forward to putting a few bends in it!
