I found another spot to take the kayak! The beautiful Lake Tallulah (impounded in 1912) with the 1913 "new" A&RL shortline train trestles still rising from the water. I've hiked the gorge several times, never thinking to cross the street to see what was above the dam. This is definitely on the list for this coming summer!! #LakeTallulah #TallulahGorge #northGeorgia #GeorgiaBackroads #lake #kayak #kayakfishing #flyfishing #exploring #outdoors #GeorgiaOutdoors #flyfishga #318

One of the nicest views I've found of Lake Lanier and her islands. #lakelanier #lakelanierislands #lakelife #northGeorgia #wandernorthga #flyfishing #scenic #overlook #Gainesville #Georgia #322

I picked up a new pen for my weekly planner tonight (trying to get organized) and realized it matches the finish on the Aspen Reels 300 Series almost perfectly! #nerd #newpen #Zebra #V301FP @aspenreels #AspenReels #300series #ClearAnodized #flyreel #flyfishing #weeklyplanner #newyearsresolutions #goals #323

The folks at Aspen Reels were so kind as to let me take one of their gorgeous 300 series reels for a spin. And they packed the box with a bunch of other goodies for me and the Little Girl! Check them out if you're not familiar, another great American-made reel company that grew out of a shared passion for our sport! @aspenreels #AspenReels #300series #flyreel #flygear #MadeInTheUSA #flyfishing #3weight #4weight #GreatMailDay #TimeToGoFishing #324
