Had fun this morning checking out the North Central Florida Outdoor Expo at the World Equestrian Center! It's great to see such a hyper-local outdoor event so well attended! Boats, trucks, campers, clubs, outfitters, organizations, outdoor gear manufacturers and insurance agents all under one roof.

On The Fly Outfitters - Brunswick GA
We took the camper for a quick trip up to the Golden Isles area of Georgia for Valentine's weekend. Since we were nearby, I wanted to check out On The Fly Outfitters, a cool Fly/Falconry/Outdoors shop in Historic Brunswick that I've been following on IG for a while. These guys are definitely keyed in to their area and have all the gear you need for a successful day in the outdoors. Get by and see them if you're around! I added a new fly shop t-shirt to my collection and dropped off a few Suburban Angler stickers for the door. I will be sure to check in with them next time I'm up there fishing!

Western Rise on Kickstarter
I met Will and Kelly on my first trip to ICAST/IFTD. I've been very impressed with their designs ever since. I received an email from them today asking if I would help spread the word on a Kickstarter they're doing for a new shirt design. Check them out, their suggested post follows. .

My friends at Western Rise just launched their Limitless Merino Wool Shirt on Kickstarter! It looks like an oxford, is more comfortable than a t-shirt, and outperforms your activewear. Save over 25% when you pre-order for a limited time. westernrise.com/kickstarter

I really need to learn...
I really need to learn to carry at least a Tenkara rod with me when I'm out for a hike!

It wasn't just location scouting and hiking...
It wasn't just location scouting and hiking last week, I did actually catch some fish, too. I caught this chubby little rainbow in a fast moving slough carved out of solid rock.

I don't know my mosses...
Just a cool bit of moss hanging out on an interesting chunk of rock. I don't know my mosses, can anyone identify?

Took a short hike yesterday
Took a short hike yesterday to enjoy the <slightly> lower humidity. Saw this guy and a couple of his brothers sunning in the duckweed in a flooded area next to the trail.

Making plans for the weekend!
Making my plans for the weekend. When I get out of the office I like to get WAY out of the office! If you're getting way out this weekend, don't forget to leave your itinerary with at least one trusted friend. Stay safe out there!!

Travel a Back Road and Recharge
It's been a very busy week and we're heading in to another busy weekend, but try to find the time to travel a back road and recharge. Maybe find a new stream to catch some bluegill or trout on the ultralight rods. Thats my plan, anyway. Hope to see you out there👍
