Tomorrow morning kicks off the first 3-day long The Fly Fishing Show in Atlanta! I'll be doing my typical show-floor coverage, so follow along, drop comments and ask questions (and, like the pictures, it really does help). I'll do my best to respond and find the answers. And, if you're at the show, stop me and say hello, it'd be great to meet you!
A Fly Fishing Blog: Suburban fly fishing in North Georgia, Central Florida and beyond!

UNI-Products Big Fly Thread
I'm really liking this UNI-Products Big Fly thread for my saltwater flies! I can lay down a thread base faster, build up a sturdier bump for eyes and crank down tighter on materials without fear of breaking my thread. I need to get a few more colors (and upgrade my bobbin)! Have you used it? Any pros or cons you've found?

Made a quick stop at Bass Pro...
Made a quick stop at Bass Pro yesterday to find a travel bag for my fly tying gear. They had this bag, empty, for $12.99 and a 4-pack of boxes that fit inside for $14.99. All in, I came out about $10 cheaper than buying a smaller bag that already had the boxes in it! I'll keep you posted on how it holds up over time. Now to find the new vise and tools to fill it!
