Passed the Technician exam yesterday morning! Just [im]patiently waiting for the FCC to assign my call sign. Already started studying for the General license and need to start acquiring some equipment. Had a fantastic first experience with GSSF today, weather notwithstanding! Every person I dealt with was friendly, helpful and encouraging. The few minor issues I ran into were quickly and easily remedied. I only fell short of my goal of not missing by a couple shots, so I'm pretty happy with my performance and have better focus on the areas that need work. As much fun as I had, and with as much as I learned today, I can't wait to do it again, especially on a good weather weekend! Volunteering as an RO only added to the experience!
