Walters Cinder Creek 8 weight

I want to thank everyone for their input and advice when I asked for salt water fly rod recommendations!! I decided to go with a local (here in Atlanta) brand and got myself a Walters Fly Rods Cinder Creek 9' 8 weight. I'll try to get a First Cast video up on the website and YouTube sometime next week. It's a great looking rod and I'm really looking forward to putting a few bends in it!

There was a question about kayaks

There was a question about inexpensive/entry-level kayaks on NGTO when I got on this morning. Here's a photo of mine, a 12' Equinox I bought for around $350 at Costco a while back. I've had it in ponds, lakes and even the intracoastal waterway in Florida and it's done everything I've asked it to do. Eventually I'd like to upgrade to a Pelican, Jackson, Old Towne or Hobie, but, until my budget allows, I love my big box store kayak!

I found another spot to take the kayak! The beautiful Lake Tallulah (impounded in 1912) with the 1913 "new" A&RL shortline train trestles still rising from the water. I've hiked the gorge several times, never thinking to cross the street to see what was above the dam.
